User, System, and Bios logs

by lamentofking . Updated 18 years, 1 month ago

I see ads everytime saying that my comp isn’t protected and there is some program that can monitor logs and the like. It got me wondering about certain logs. Like where does the comp log the time when a user account was created? Where does it log when was the account logged into? Where does it log when the comp was booted from a CD? Where does it log events that happened in the bios? Where are all these logs stored? Could I edit them myself to remove certain events thus not needing a program or is there a program that does all this? I have windows xp pro by the way.
