users Profile

We currently have a PDC running Windows NT4.0 (Back office Small business). We decide to replace it with a new DC Windows 2000 server. But we need to keep all workstation desktop intacted. After the workstation joint the new server and new domain, it created the new profile on the workstation with the brand new desktop. The client lost their desktop configuration (the profile was store at the workstation). What could we do to restore their old desktop (map, share, favorite, Outlook, personal setup…) as they could work on the old server. Are there any how to fix this problem?
