Using a different psu

This isn’t really an IT problem but I thought I’d ask anyway!

I’m using a Netgear GS105 gigabit switch and the psu has been damaged – the switch supply should be 12V 1A but I have another old Netgear psu (that fits fine) but it is rated at 15V 1A. Am I going to blow the switch if I use this psu even on a temporary basis?
