Using an HP Multifunction Printer with Windows Terminal Services

I have a remote office that accesses the company’s main line of business app via Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services. The reception desk has an HP Multifunction device locally attached but I am uncertain how to access the ‘scanner’ function of the multifunction. ANy tips. It connects by USB.
