Using available systems

I read the multiple monitors post that Greg Schultz put up – http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/window-on-windows/?p=1355 – and it got me thinking about system use.

At the office I have a 2 monitor setup and space for my laptop which makes the trip everyday. At home I have a desktop which had been my only system until I got the laptop.

Being a contributor for TechRepublic there are tons of notes and lots of research and then writing, which was something I used to do on the desktop system but now usually find the laptop more convenient. How does one choose between desktop or laptop – or better yet, leverage both?

Just interested to see how others do it…
