Using cat 5 Print server with wireless network

by sansone . Updated 17 years, 7 months ago

I am trying to connect my print server so I can use it when using wireless. I can use it fine on my hardwired (cat 5) machines. But when I connect via wireless I cannot print. I think part of my problem is configuration but it seems I should be able to use the printer I just need to configure it correctly.

My DSL modem has built in wireless with a single RJ-45 (Cat 5). I have this connected to a 4 port router (WAN out Cat 5 to DSL Modem Cat 5).

I have my DSL modem set up to dish out DHCP to my PCs, and my router also uses DHCP to the hardwired PCs.

My print server (Cat 5) is connected to a port on the router.

I tried turning off the firewall in the DSL modem to see if that was causing the issue, but did not work.

Is there something else I need to do?
