using modem card,not one built in

have a tecra 510cdt…using internal modem I get a big 28kbps…(ok QUIT laughung…people still use these,for a minute!)
gal friend handed me a pcmbia(??)-viking 56K,w/no external cords…how do i hook it up,will i need to ‘remove’ the internal touse this viking card??If so,how do ya do that??
Also…how do you old board pros suggest handling awarding the points if 8 people give the same correct answer?
