using udma 133/166 on old motherboards

by dclark_billericay . Updated 23 years, 3 months ago

I have EP-8KTA+ which supports udma 33/66. The present HDD needs to be replaced. Most HDD now come as udma 133/166. I know I can use a control card but can the HDD udma 133/166 still be used unspported. I apreciate that there will be a loss but as the present PC will be soon replaced, I do not want to buy a control card.
