vaio pcv-rs410 will turn on but has constant beep and screen stays blank???

my sony vaio desktop will turn on, but when it does it has a constant beep and the screen is blank as if nothing is connected to it but i checked the all connections and everything is properly connected…
can anyone help me and tell what the constant beep is???
