Validation issues after moving home dir

A user with admin rights to the domain moved his home directory from one server to another. He changed his profile accordingly. He is able to log into the domain. When the login script runs, it asks for a password to the server where the home directory currently resides. This is the third move of this kind. There has never been an issue before. Why is the login script asking for validation? It is not accepting a password. What can we do to get around this? (the user is the department director….please help)
