VB5 & ODBC

Currently running in a mixed environment with W95 and W2000 desktops. Have a VB application that connects to the SQL server. Set the ODBC drivers for the database and tested the connection and was successful. Tried to run the VB app and got a 3151ODBC unable to connect to the SQL server. On a W95 desktop runs fine; on W2 is where I get this error. The ODBC driver version is 3.70 and the database is located on SQL server which is running 6.5 Could this be a compatability problem between the driver and the SQL server?
