Verifying DMI Pool Data…

My system hangs on “Verifying DMI Pool Data…” for 3 or 4 minutes before booting up into Win98. I would like to know how to stop it and where I can learn more about what the process “Verifying DMI Pool Data” is. Thanks… ROill23@cs.com
