VIA Apollo Pro266T & ATI AIW Radeon 750

I have a Via Apollo Pro266TD motherboard (MSI MS-9105) with a single Tualatin PIII @ 1.4 GHz running Windows 98SE. I am attempting to install an ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 7500. Upon installing the drivers the system will not load the ATI drivers on restart saying the hardware or the drivers are not correct. However the Device Manager shows that the card is installed and running properly as a AIW Radeon 7500. The settings tab will only allow VGA. Any thoughts on this would be welcome. ( I have also tried the latest ATI drivers with the same result. )
