Here is a challenge to the video conferencing gurus out there…
I have been tasked with providing recommendations for a video conferencing solution that can support approximately twenty locations currently. The number of locations is expected to expand between three to five new locations each year. I would estimate 75% of the locations have between 3-8 employees maximum and these locations each have a T1 connection. At least once or twice a month, all locations would be connecting concurrently for meetings.
Here is the fun part… My projected budget is approximately $25,000. I have received a price for Cisco Telepresence at $150,000 which was quickly denied by management. I have also received pricing for a Lifesize solution for $99,000 and was quickly shot down.
