video driver uninstall

I bought a new video card and in the instructions it says to uninstall my current video drivers. The istuctions tell me to go to my control panel, then into “add/remove programs” and unistall it from there. I could not find my video drivers there or I could not recognise it. If I go to “device manager” and then video “properties” and unistall my driver there, would that be the same as uninstalling through “add/remove programs”?
