My wife logged onto my laptop this morning which was working perfectly yesterday at work…she was able to check her email and left it running. I came in and saw the screen had gone black so I rebooted. From the minute you see anything while the bios is loading you see errors like ‘ characters on the screen and random vertical dashed lines. After you get to the windows loading screen after login it goes black when you would normally see your desktop. Seemingly nothing has changed since yesterday but the screen has dashed blue lines all over the place…I tried reloading the video driver to no avail…also tried reloading bios from safe mode but it gives me an error and tells me to reboot. Does anyone have a clue as to what has happened? Hardware problem, virus, other???
