viewing exchange 2003 mailboxes with OWA 5.5

I am doing an upgrade from 5.5 to exchange 2003. I have added an exchange 2003 server to the site. Until I bring a 2003 front end server into the site I would like the users to access their mail via the OWA from the 5.5 server. Is this possible.
