Virtual Private Network

I am trying to connect to Virtual Private Network and I receive the following error:

?Error 800: Unable to establish the VPN connection. The VPN server may be unreachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly for this connection?

I can connect through ?Remote Desktop? with the same credentials, but not through the ?VPN? connection.

Any thoughts as to why the VPN will not connect?
