Virus removal

Hai friends,
I am Jerome Smith, a newbie to this forum. Happy to join this forum and glad to meet everyone here.
My laptop is fully affected by a virus. It was the lap that I purchased 1 year back. But now I am not able to use it. The time I turn it on itself it turns off. Now what can be done inorder to remove the virus?
