On Friday, October 16th, 2009, at or around 10:25 P.M.PST. Visa experienced a worldwide system crash. Thousands, possibly tens of thousands of transactions worldwide were affected, affecting ATM transactions, whereby ATM cash withdraws were debited to accounts, but no money was dispensed by the ATM’s. Thousands of individuals are currently unaware that their bank accounts are missing this money that they never received.
In the meantime what has happened to this money and who is benefiting from what probably amounts to millions of dollars earning interest? Remember, this was a worldwide system crash.
For those that are aware that they are owed money, and who are making attempts to be reimbursed, the responsible parties involved are are making it very difficult to recover the owed money. Those that have made it through the gamete of runaround, are being told they will have to wait sixty days. When they want your money it happens instantly! What about those who will never get their money?
So far there is no investigation into this debacle. I am issuing a call to action, asking that some authority step in and oversee the rightful return of all money and compensation for all further problems caused.
