VISTA and WINDOWS SERVER 2003 R2

dear all,
we are facing problems between our existing vista workstaions and our newly installed server R2.
the problem is with the network folders( connecting to them takes like eternity).
on the other hand: connecting to the other(win 2000) server is very fast from the same vista PC!!!
