Vista Install Problem

I have Vista 32 bit version installed on my home computer.
1)The logitech laser mouse will jump around,you can be pointing and it will dart to side or top.

2)The sound card will not install,it states that no sound card detected
I have Creative Sound Blaster 24-bit
The problem may exist with other operating system so I may be able to cross reference.
