Vista & Microsoft Word 97-2003 – Corrupted Documents

Hi –

I just got a new computer that has Vista on it but all of our documents on our server are still Microsoft Word 97-2003. My colleagues are still using the old system. The problem is when I edit a Microsoft Word 97-2003 50% of the time the document becomes corrupt and I can not reopen it and then I have to go back and restore that document from the backup tape. Does anyone know why this is happening and how we can fix it?
