Vista RDP 6.0 and Windows Server 2003

by kevin.marshall13 . Updated 18 years, 7 months ago

I’ve got a server running Windows Server 2003 with approximately 8 clients. All client machines running XP have no issue connecting to Terminal Server, even the ones updated to the newest RDP download from the Microsoft website. However, I’ve recently taken on a client running Vista computer and I can’t seem to get any of them to connect. I’ve seen a few posts on the boards with problems very similar to this, but no resolutions. I’m hoping someone has seen this and solved it or already has the answer to help me fix this problem. What happens is my client gets the pop up message from my server when he connects which he is suppose to (just a warning that only authorized users are permitted access), but as soon as he hits the OK button to go past that, it only partially draws the Windows 2003 logon box. It will sit there until the connection times out. I’ve tried removing the connection timeout and let it sit there for over an how with nothing changing. I’m at my wits end with this one, appreciate any help you can offer.
