VISTA VPN Problems

by d.mc. . Updated 18 years, 6 months ago

I recently purchased a new computer for home use but now I am unable to connect to my work PC via my VPN. It worked fine and still does with my old Desktop XP machine. I follow all of the previous connection instructions but I can only get to a company Portal. I believe there is a problem loading the Cisco SSL VPN client. I am part of a large company that is predominantly using XP OS so my system IT guys I don’t think want to help me solve the problem. One excuse was they were waiting for a patch from Cisco for Vista to operate. I search and see there is at least one Cisco patch/upgrade for Vista. Is there anything else that can be done to Vista to allow its use for VPN? Install a Virtual PC or is there something I can do with my Vista setup? Thanks in advance.
