Vista vs XP Print sharing

by russbass . Updated 17 years, 5 months ago

I have read a lot of posts on this topic, but none was like this.
I have a wireless network that used to have xp desktop wired and xp laptop wireless, all worked fine as far as files/printer shares. I recently purchased a Dell Vista Home installed my printer (USB connection) set it to share and added the printer to my xp laptop without problems.
I can print and it shows the print job on my vista desktop, but just never prints. I can’t delete the job (access denied) but when I restart, all pending print queues will print (this occurs prior to login).
All firewalls are off, I have set the share to allow everyone full access (print and manage). I have installed the exact same drivers and with the desktop selected that I would be printing from x86 devices and the driver is there.
This seems to be permissions, but I can’t see anyplace where there are permissions limitations on this.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
