Voodoo4 4500 porblems

I play a 3d game (half life: counterstrike) with my voodoo4 4500. Im only getting less then 10fps!!! Im wondering if anyone knows how i can get it up. I have a friend thats has a computer that is slighty worse then mine and he has a voodoo2 and he gets more fps then me. Any help woudl be great!
