I have a NT server that is the PDC and that also runs DHPC and WINS and another NT server for that is a PPTP server.
When clients log in evry thing works fine until they wana browse the network.
they cannot browse the network, however if they enter the IP address of the server they can get to the server and use the resources on the server but they can not browse or type in the name of the server.
On the pptp server i set it up to use dhpc to assign ip address and i tried typing in the wins server address on the client still didnt work, I added the option # 044 with the address of the wins server and option # 046 with a value of 0x8 on the dhpc server still didnt work.
I added the wins address to the NIC thats connected to the internet on the pptp server still didnt work.
I dont want to use LMHOST files.
