vpn and dsl setup

OK, well i feel fairly stupid asking this givin all the information about both subjects but here goes:
How do u setup a VPN client when client is using DSL? I have installed the MS VPN adapter and put itn my VPN server address but no go. My clients with dial-up are working great but my DSL clients are a no-go. Any help woudl be appreciated!
