Here’s the scenario:
The company I work for uses the Nortel Contivity client (and a Contivity 4300 series concentrator) authenticating remote users via a Radius server and their Novell user ID. Once authenticated and a tunnel is established I have applications that are dependant upon MS AD authentication in order to function.
So far cached domain authentication hasn’t worked. The Nortel client can install as a service and will, supposedly, pass the cached authentication thru. Unfortunately I’m now told that we’re moving to the Checkpoint VPN solution using their SecureClient.
So the questions are: (1) Does the Checkpoint client support this type of ‘passthru authentication”, and (2) Is there a better/easier way to accomplish this?
I’ve tossed the idea of hosting an SSL VPN solution, but I’m told that Corp. security won’ allow it. ARGH!
