VPN Connection Issue

by bigg-media . Updated 17 years, 11 months ago

I am having an issue with my VPN connection.

I have a W2K3 box running RRAS for VPN and Routing. I connect to it from home and can browe around the network without issue.

My home network IP address is 192.168.1.5/255.255.255.0

The RRAS box is 192.168.1.200/255.255.255.0

According to things I have read, I should not be able to browse the network because of the subnet being the same. The reality is that I can.

One of our sales reps is trying to connect with the same setup I have at home. IP address is 192.168.1.2/255.255.255.0. She can connect just fine and is given an IP address from our DHCP server (192.168.1.104/255.255.255.0), however she can’t ping any IP address except her own and she can’t access anything on the network.

Short of changing the subnet on our network at work, so it doesn’t have the same subnet as most home networks, is there anything else I am overlooking?
