VPN Connection Via Dial up Modem

We have a machine running Windows NT4 dialing up to another remote PC running NT4 via dial up modem. The remote PC have remote access services set up to allow dial in Connection via TCPIP.

We are managed to connect and get assigned an IP 20.1.1.51

The remote PC have an IP address 20.1.1.1 with Default Gateway 20.1.1.0

The problem is we can’t ping the remote PC at 20.1.1.1 even we are assigned an IP from the remote PC.

Any suggestion will be much appreciated. Thanks
