VPN fails to connect to domain

We installed a Corporate VPN using IPass and Cisco VPN client. We can actually connect to the network and to the Internet/Intranet. But the problem we have is that sometime I can connect to our local domain and sometime not. I don’t get any error messages during the connection thru Ipass or VPN client. Any ideas why could this be happening?
