VPN Network and E-mail problem

I am running a Windows 2000 server with RAS on it to act as our connecting point using Windows VPN client to connect. Users can connect, but once connected they cannot connect to the Exchange 5.5 server. Users are also unable to browse the network. This was working fine, but now is not and I am unsure why.
