VPN on W2k

I have a W2k server with AD. I installed a second NIC and when I configure the Remote Access service the users connect to the shared folders on the server. When I delete the Remote Access service they can again connect. What am I missing. Both NICS are connected to a hub that is connected to a NAT router. Please help with some advise!
