vpn’s ok, now i can’t get the internet

I have a windows 2000 server set up for vpn, and a client w/windows 2000. The client can get on the web, but once he connects to me via vpn, he can’t get on the internet (surf) anymore. any ideas would be great. i have tried too many different things to list.
