VxD error

I keep getting this message on my computer: “A fatal error has occurred-check network or hardware settings in the control panel
0028:C0051F3C
0028:C292024B IN VxD This was called from 0028:c0074e55 IN VxD”

I’ve tried to run different diagnosticprogs and checked the settings etc. Nothing works. HELP!!!!!
