W2K folder-file issue

I set up a peer to peer network with two computers. One is Win2k the other is Win 98. From the Win2k computer I can see all the shares that I have set up on the Win 98 machine. From the Win 98 machine I always get a dialog box asking for a password when I am trying to look at shares on the Win2k machine. I never set up any passwords for any shares on the Win2k machine. I know on the Win2k machine I do not have to share the entire hard drive for folder sharing. How can view shares from theWin 98 machine onto the Win2k machine? Thank for the help!!
