Microsoft has reported a bug in the telnet service for W2k. I read of this in a Tech Republic newsletter just yesterday.

Unfortunately, I tried yesterday to telnet into one ofmy sites for the first time from the W2k telnet client- before coming upon this article. Since then I have been unable to access the site by any means from my machine. This problem is limited to my machine-no one else has a problem. My wife, whose machine is networked to mine and shares the same DSL connection has no trouble, nor does anyone else. I’ve downloaded and installed the hotfix several times to no avail.
The file sizes that install with the hotfix do not match exactly the file sizes Microsoft says to expect.
Can anyone help?
