Hi, Geniusses
I am sitting with the problem where I have a WD MyCloud NAS drive. I have several shared folders on this drive, each mapped as a drive to user PCs.
The problem I am experiencing is this:
Suppose I have a folder called Clients. This folder is then mapped as a drive to the applicable users.
NOW:
In the Clients folder (and subsequently, the mapped drive per user) is Client A, Client B and so forth. However, I may not wish User 1 to have access to the Client B folder, even though it will show up on his mapped drive.
Is there a way, perhaps a software solution, I can use to circumvent this problem? WD’s software is proving rather useless in this regard, and setting it up in a dynamic office environment using Windows rights are unrealistic.
TIA
