We have created a user “HARSH” but are not able to connect to MS SQL Server

New MS SQL Server 2000 Database has been created as m/c hosting the earlier database crashed. We had a user called “HARSH” in earlier istallation and had created many procedures using this user. These procedures are referenced in the VB application. We have created this user in new installation but are unable to connect to database using tis user.
Pl help in resolving this problem
