Hi and thanks in advance to any help. =]
I am experiencing an issue in a Domain environment that is starting to get to me, but I am ruling out everything I can right now. Basically when a user tries to send an e-mail in Outlook with an attachment, it comes back with various errors. Either Proxy errors or time-outs. ALSO, when a user tries to send e-mail with attachments from a web based e-mail site, the page times out. (Yahoo, Gmail, etc.)
I am troubelshooting the internet connection now, and think the upload speeds are too slow. I am testing the UL speeds and they seem to average 24k. My question: Could poor upload speeds be the reason e-mails with attachments are not being sent from Outlook users or webmail users?
Notes: Connection is DSL. Exchange is not running, all Outlook clients are POP. No Proxy server is installed/running. Antivirus software is disabled. Changed MTU settings. Changed router to different brand/model. Removed Router and connected Server directly to modem.
I think it is the ISP at fault, but wanted to reach out to you guys as well. Thanks. =]
