I’m seeing a lot of people using a term I’m unfamiliar with over on the ‘Google Plus will change the web’ discussion:
https://www.techrepublic.com/forum/discussions/102-346109?p=2&tag=discussion-thread
I’m confused by comments like:
“Why can’t I +1 the story?”
“…why don’t you have an +1 button?”
“When is TechRepublic going to add “+1” to its social bookmarking feature? I can “like” a post, but I can’t “+1″ it yet…”
From the last one, I’m sure this is about a social networking option I’m unfamiliar with. The questions imply the members are looking for something other than the ‘Thumbs Up’ button located at the beginning of each article. The last one also mentions TR having a social bookmarking feature, something I’m not only unfamiliar with but also don’t know how to access.
Yeah, I’m e-networking illiterate. Would someone mind explaining what it means to use the term ‘+1’ as a verb?
Thanks.
