What happens when a pc gets swamped by floodwaters?

One of my clients has had their server and five pc’s swamped by floodwaters. Their tech came in and dried them out. At present they appear to be working, but what is the long term prospect? My feeling is that they should heve been stripped, flushed in a cleansing chemical to get rid of silt and any salts then reassembled and tested. Anyone had any experience in this area?
