What sort of CPU can I upgraded to, if at all?

I’ve gone to many different websites, and I haven’t been able to find any situations quite like mine, and in similar situations I hear varied conclusions, so I’m hopeful that I’ll get a more conclusive answer.

I’ve never upgraded a CPU in this fashion – going out and buying a specific CPU – I have always just taken what was given to me and stuck it in the computer. So, I’m not quite sure what sort of info is actually valid and relevant and what isn’t, so here’s what I know about my motherboard and current CPU.

Pentium 4 CPU, 1.80 GHz
478 pin
256kb L2 cache
0.18 micron
1.75V core voltage

Motherboard Name Compaq 5430US
Front Side Bus Properties
Bus Type Intel GTL+
Bus Width 64-bit
Real Clock 100 MHz (QDR)
Effective Clock 400 MHz
Bandwidth 3200 MB/s

Memory Bus Properties
Bus Type DDR SDRAM
Bus Width 64-bit
DRAM:FSB Ratio 4:3
Real Clock 133 MHz (DDR)
Effective Clock 267 MHz

Chipset Bus Properties
Bus Type Intel Hub Interface
Bus Width 8-bit
Real Clock 67 MHz (QDR)
Effective Clock 267 MHz
Bandwidth 267 MB/s

I realize my computer is a little dated, so I will be understanding if there is nothing I can do, I just don’t want to be told I can get something and then it doesn’t work.
