Good grief, could Microsoft make this any MORE painful?! I have a small company (under 20 people) that will be expanding to a remote office within a year. I anticipate my total number of employees to be always less than 100, but in various cities. Iam looking to install a server at our main office. I need this server to be able to run Exchange and for Exchange to be able to be accessed to share schedules and contacts at our future branch offices. I am purchasing now for the main office only, but I need to be sure that the new servers (both Exchange and 2000) can be connected to the new offices. All offices will need to access the same files, schedules, etc. SO….do I need Win2k Sever, Advanced Server, or Datacenter? Will I need Exchange Server or Exchange Server Enterprise Edition? By the way, all of my clients will be tied tightly to the Gates Stronghold….(Win2k Pro, Office 2000, Outlook, etc,)I am more that happy to learn how to implement the stuff once I get it, but can ANYONE tell me where to start. I’m looking for information that is multi-folded. First, what do I need software-wise? Second, Why do I need it? Third, why don’t I need the others. Thank you in advance.
