Where to locate common user data directo

We’re a very small shop (12 people). We have 4 servers (PDC, Oracle Server, Exchange Server, and WebServer).

We use a common user data directory named USERDATA. That directory has all common user data such as word, excel, act databases, etc.Where would you recommend that it be located?

I currently have it located on the Exchange Server since it’s a powerful Dell PowerEdge 2300. My issue is that sometimes I have to reboot the exchange server and the users don’t have access to their directory for a while.

Any suggestions?
