White Screen Virus

I removed the white screen virus for a customer recently; the individual was panicked about the ‘you have downloaded child pornography’ message used to get people to enter their bank card info.
Has anyone seen a pattern to types of sites … porn, etc…. more likely offer a download containing the virus? The individual said they attempted to download a video from a model car site.
