Why do i keep getting crash on my pastel 5.2v?

I’ve got a window 7 ultimate and a pastel5.2v. but it keep get me trouble. It keep getting crashed with the message: “Floating Point: Square Root of Negative Number”??!!! what does this means and how do i fix it? Please kindly advise and help, as i can’t work at home anymore!!
