I have been a contractor for four or five years and would not ever think of giving up the job! I have met some great people, learned things I could not in other jobs and it is a field where you keep learning!
I have been a building rehabber, a roofer, and a highway construction worker. I was a manager at red lobster, I have been held up twice and shot once in my side. And after all the backbreaking work, I went back to school. I do not make as much as I could in the other jobs but I make friends. I help others and see results in minutes not weeks or months.
I can be the great person who just saved every thing for one person or that IT guy who just let everyone do what they needed to get the job done.
A good IT person will do what?s needed and some times get the respect that?s needed.
It is a great way for me to do what I like and I get great pay for doing what I like!
Am I crazy or is there others like me out there?
